William grew up in rural Lowndes County, AL where he came to love the outdoors through his passion of bowhunting whitetails, turkey hunting, and fishing. William graduated from Auburn University of Montgomery with a bachelors degree in Enviromental Science. Immediately after graduation he accepted a management position in Mississippi with a land and timber investment company with reponsibilities including land management, land acquisition, land development, and public relations. Soon after his first son was born in 2001 he started Recreational Land Investments, Inc. dba Lyon Properties. William and his wife Kim moved backed home to AL to start their family and to give their children Will, Cale, and Kathryn the opportunity to grow up in a small community where faith and family are most important. He feels blessed to be able to view properties and help clients on a daily basis with his mostly referral business.
